The short version

Flyck Keyboard has no internet permission. It cannot send what you type, your clipboard, your contacts or anything else off your phone. We don't collect personal data, and there are no accounts, ads or analytics.

What stays on your phone

To improve suggestions, Flyck learns the words and phrases you use. This is saved only on your phone. Nothing is learned in password fields or while Private (incognito) mode is on. You can clear it any time in Settings.

Clipboard history stays on your phone. A keyboard photo background is picked with Android's photo picker, which shares only the one photo you choose. Only if you turn on "Save screenshots to clipboard" (Settings › Clipboard) does Flyck ask for photo access, and then it only looks at the newest image to add a screenshot you just took to your clipboard, on your phone. Copied codes, card numbers and passwords are hidden and erased after about a minute. Email addresses you type into email boxes (up to six) are remembered on your phone so Flyck can offer them in the next email box; never in incognito mode. Generated passwords stay only in the keyboard's memory for 15 minutes. When you tap another suggestion right after swiping a word, Flyck remembers that choice on your phone to swipe better next time. Settings › Flyck › "Forget saved emails and swipe choices" clears both.

One-time codes

If you allow notification access, Flyck reads new notifications to find one-time codes. Codes are kept in memory only, shown in your suggestion bar, and discarded when used or after a few minutes. Notification text is never saved.

Voice typing and AI

Voice typing uses your phone's speech service. AI writing runs on your phone, either through the phone's built-in AI system or through a model Flyck downloads once and runs locally. Flyck sends nothing to us.

Mayl

If you also use the Mayl app, Flyck can read what Mayl shares with it on your phone, through Android's secure app-to-app interfaces: sign-in codes, contacts (and which are your VIPs), your email templates and signatures, upcoming trips, bills due, package tracking numbers, and who you're waiting to hear back from. Only an app signed by us can read it, and you can turn sharing off in Mayl's settings at any time. Flyck itself sends nothing over the internet.

Secure send: when you ask for a secure link, Flyck hands the message and the passcode you chose to Mayl on your phone. Mayl encrypts the message on your phone before uploading it, so neither we nor anyone without the passcode can read it.

While you write an email in Mayl, Mayl tells Flyck which field you're in, who the email is to, the subject and the text you've written so far (but not the quoted email you're replying to, or your signature), so Flyck can offer the right suggestions, like a greeting with the person's name. Flyck learns your usual greeting and sign-off for each person on your phone only. When you tap a suggestion such as "Attach a file" or "Remind me Friday", Flyck asks Mayl to do it.

Contacts and calendar

If you allow it, Flyck reads your contacts to show them in its contacts panel and so it never "corrects" people's names. If you tap "My free times", Flyck reads when you're busy in your calendar for the next three weekdays to write your free times into your message. Both are optional, read on your phone only, and never copied anywhere else.

Purchases

Flyck Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles payment; we only learn from Play whether you own Pro.
